- Farmville Wine Festival: An annual event typically held in the spring at Riverside Park, featuring wineries, food vendors, artisans, and live music. This offers a pleasant outing with opportunities for tasting and socializing.
- Heart of Virginia Festival: A major annual event in Farmville, usually held in May, celebrating the local community with arts and crafts, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. It takes place in the downtown area and is a long-standing tradition.
- Farmville Christmas Show / A Yun Fannin’ Christmas: Farmville hosts various Christmas and holiday events, including parades, tree lightings, and holiday markets, creating a festive atmosphere for all ages. The “A Yun Fannin’ Christmas” event, for instance, has featured carriage rides, Santa, and vendors.
- High Bridge Trail State Park Events: The park frequently hosts events like “Firefly Festival” in June, “Festival of the Stars” for stargazing, themed guided walks, and historical programs that can be enjoyable and accessible for various activity levels.
